The ACF Open is back… Who’s going steal the Champions title from Team “Full Metal Snatches”?!

What is the 2019 ACF Open?

  • The 2019 ACF Open is an in-house competition for all levels that consists of 5 workouts over 5 weeks.

Who Should Participate?

  • Every member of ACF should participate in the 2019 ACF Open.
  • There’s a level for beginner, intermediate, or advanced CrossFitters.
  • You do not need to register for the CrossFit Games Open to compete in the ACF Open.
  • Those who wish to register for the CrossFit Games Open are highly encouraged to do so to see how you stack up against the rest of the world, and you should also participate in the ACF Open.

How Much Does It Cost?

  • Free for ACF members
  • $20 for non-members


  • February 21st – March 24th.
  • Each week’s workout is released each Thursday at 5 p.m. PT, and scores are due the following Monday at 5 p.m. PT.

3 Divisions

  • Rx’d Division – 2019 CF Games Open Rx Workouts
  • Intermediate Division – 2019 CF Games Open Scaled Workouts
  • Fun – 2019 CF Games Open Beginner-Level Scaled Workouts


  • We will have 4 Teams.
  • Each team will have 1 Captain.
  • Each team will have an equal (or as close to equal as possible) number of Rx, Intermediate, and Fun competitors.

Team Captains

  • The 4 team Captains will be: Coaches Johnna, Pam, Roger & Rodney.
  • Team Captains are responsible for motivating their team, encouraging team spirit, approving and submitting their team name, and ensuring all team scores are submitted before the weekly deadline.

The Workouts

  • Workouts will be based on the 2019 CrossFit Games Open Workouts.
  • The 2019 Open begins Thursday, February 21st.

Rx Workout Example:
10 Minute AMRAP
15 Thrusters 95/65 lbs
10 Double Unders
5 Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups

Intermediate Workout Example:
10 Minute AMRAP
15 Thrusters 75/55 lbs
10 Single Unders
5 Pull-Ups

Fun Workout Example:
10 Minute AMRAP
15 Thrusters (No prescribed weight)
10 Single Unders
5 Ring Rows

Submit Your Scores Online

  • Athletes will submit their scores throughout the weekend. The hard deadline for score submissions is 5 p.m. PT, Monday following the Open workout announcement. Don’t be late!

Scoring System

  • Each team will be assigned points based on the performance of their competitors in each division.

2019 ACF Open Winning Team

  • The team that wins the 2019 ACF Open will have a plaque put up in the gym recognizing them for the entire year.

Friday Night Lights Kick-Off Event

  • We will hold a Friday Night Lights on Friday February 22nd to kick off the 2019 ACF Open with workout #1.
  • Competitors may do workout #1 at any time between Thursday – Monday.
  • Competitors are encouraged, but not required, to do workout #1 during Friday Night Lights.
